“Eins og svo oft voru leiðtogapörin í mann- og álfheimum túlkuð af sama leikaraparinu. Þau Jón Gunnar Vopnfjörð og Heiðdís Hlynsdóttir glansa í hlutverkum Óberons og Títaníu. Sérlega gaman er að vaxandi óþægindum Óberons yfir erótískri hamingju frúarinnar í örmum vefarans í asnagervinu, nokkuð sem ég hef ekki séð skýrar komið til skila.”

About

Born in Tálknafjörður in the Westfjords of Iceland and raised in Hafnarfjörður, my journey into storytelling began early through youth theatre, debate teams, choir, and active community life.

I trained at the Copenhagen International School of Performing Arts (CISPA), completing a 3-year BA in Acting. Shortly after graduating, I toured Denmark with the contemporary stage production Berghain and performed Chekhov’s Platonov in Marathon, Greece.

Outside of acting, I work in Human Resources (Learning & Culture) at the Blue Lagoon, having previously worked as a tour guide and front-of-house host. Alongside my acting career, I am a proud father of three, an active guitarist and singer, and a former multi-sport athlete—growing up in the Westfjords meant trying every sport available, from handball and football to fencing and golf.

The Theory

My training at CISPA (Copenhagen International School of Performing Arts) is rooted in Contemporary Method Acting—a holistic, psychophysical technique built on the concept of the integrated mindbody. Combining Stanislavski's core principles, Laban/Yat Malmgren Movement Psychology, and deep character analysis, the methodology connects prelingual physical impulse directly to voice, thought, and text. This allows me to approach roles—whether on camera or on stage—with physical grounding, emotional truth, and a strong collaborative spirit.
